Securing a commission to paint and photograph the local flora and fauna. Jan arrived on Paxos in April 2003. Being greatly inspired by the magnificent scenery, the magical quality of the island and the warmth of the local community, Jan settled in Ozias, where she continued to paint and photograph the locality.

 Paxos earned the tittle of " Cultural Village of Europe" the 2004, duruing which a number of Jan's paintings were included in the islands Art Exhibition.

Returning to the UK in 2005 she launched an internet based company specialising in Painting and Photograph works themed on her Greek experiences.
