Avrio - Greek.   Meaning tomorrow.

Securing a commission to paint and photograph the local flora and fauna. Jan arrived on Paxos in April 2000. Being greatly inspired by the magnificent scenery, the magical quality of the island and the warmth of the local community, Jan settled in Ozias, where she continued to paint and photograph the locality.

 Paxos earned the tittle of " Cultural Village of Europe" the 2004, during which a number of Jan's paintings were included in the islands Art Exhibition.

Returning to the UK in 2004 she opened a Gallery in a boathouse on Richmond riverside specialising in Paintings and Photograph works themed on her Greek experiences.

Jan closed the gallery in Dec 2012 and now conducted her business between her Gallery in Chippenham,  & studio at Great Chalfield, Wiltshire.

In February this year (2019) Jan finally realised her dream & relocated, heself, business & dog to glorious Appledore, orth Devon, which has always reminded me of Paxos, with its quaint & quirky houses & narrow cobble stone streets & friendly community.
